Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and cue:church (“cue:church,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of our website and service. By creating an account or using cue:church, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a church or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
1. The service
cue:church lets churches build a run of service and deliver each moment — lyrics, scripture, sermon points, and response moments — to the phones of people in the room in real time, and lets those people save and take content with them. We may update, add, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Free trial, subscriptions, and billing
- Free trial. New churches may start a 30-day free trial of the Core plan without a payment card. If you do not add a payment method, your subscription pauses when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions. The Core plan is billed at $29 per month. The optional Audio add-on is billed at an additional $50 per month. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change with notice.
- Renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to violate any law or the rights of others.
- Upload or display content you do not have the rights to use, including copyrighted lyrics or media without appropriate licenses.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the service except as permitted by these Terms.
- Use the service to send spam or transmit malware.
You are responsible for obtaining any licenses required to display or distribute lyrics, media, or other third-party content through the service (for example, a music reproduction/streaming license).
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content your church creates or uploads (“Your Content”). You grant cue:church a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you and your congregation. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights necessary to use it.
6. Congregation members
People who join a live service do so without an account and may save verses, take notes, and respond during the service. Your church is responsible for how it uses cue:church with its congregation. Our Privacy Policy describes how member information is handled.
7. Third-party services
cue:church works with third-party services, including Stripe (payments), Planning Center (optional service import), Deepgram (live captions), API.Bible (scripture), Supabase, and Vercel. Your use of connected third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by cue:church and its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, cue:church will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless cue:church from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or others. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends; certain provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to another agreed process, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes may be communicated to account holders. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
