Terms of Service
Effective date: April 5, 2025
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Cue (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including church operators and congregation members.
2. Description of service
Cue is a live second-screen application for church services. It allows church operators to build and display service content — including scripture, songs, notes, and sermon points — to congregation members in real time via a web-based interface.
3. Account registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. Notify us immediately at info@cue.church if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Free trial
New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to the Service. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, your church page will be inaccessible to congregation members until you subscribe. Your account data is retained for 90 days after trial expiration before being deleted.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cue to:
- Distribute content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Content ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create and upload through Cue (service orders, church branding, sermon notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content solely to operate the Service for you.
Congregation member notes and reflections are stored only in the member's own browser and are never transmitted to our servers. We have no access to that content.
8. Intellectual property
The Cue name, logo, and application code are owned by us and may not be copied, modified, or used without written permission. Scripture text is provided through third-party APIs (ESV API) subject to their respective licenses.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that any errors will be corrected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cue and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Sections 7–10 survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active account holders of material changes by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Texas.
